Mrs. Lan contracted HIV from her husband who was a drug user. After finding out she had HIV, she worried that her newly born child might have contracted the disease from her. Mrs. Lan shares her story of how she got help and how she came back to living a full and normal life again.
This is the third film and story in a 3 part series of short films made for the Italian NGO, CESVI, in Vietnam. The intent of these films is to give hope and advice to people who have newly contracted HIV in Vietnam.Since HIV awareness is very low here, many people who have contracted the disease feel that their life is over and that HIV is the end of anything normal again.
