A web designer who was in charge of developing a new website for their client, Fram^ and looking for a Ho Chi Minh City Photographer to produce corporate lifestyle photography for this new company. Fram^ is a technology company with offices in Sweden and Ho Chi Minh City and the founder of Fram^, Christopher Beselin, was the previous co-founder and CEO of Lazada, which became the market leader in e-commerce in Vietnam and later Southeast Asia. Fram^ is Chris’s newest endeavor and he wanted to do things right and invest in the photography and video to brand Fram^ correctly. Prior to the web designer contacting me he had looked over my Corporate and Industrial Photography and liked my visual approach and that my images didn’t look staged. For the photography side, they needed office lifestyle photography and they also wanted some static video shots that would loop on the website so you can have a feel about what it is like to be in their office.
The web designer, Chris and myself had a 30min Skype call where I presented my vision on how I would like to shoot these lifestyle images and videos and they loved it and I got started right away.
Even though Chris told me they didn’t want staged images I knew from experience that in order to get a large library of images showing all the different aspects of their company would require me to set up these situations as they don’t normally happen throughout the day that would fit any photography production schedule.
Having had to deal with this type of situation almost everyday when I shoot corporate, commercial or industrial work I knew exactly how to get people into a scenario that needed to be captured but still look natural as if it was really happening.
This production was 2 days in total with 1 day or scouting / prep just prior to the shooting date. For a crew, there was myself and my assistant and I shot this with a mix of flash and continuous lights with gel filters to get some nice colors and flare which was the style I had proposed.
You can see the video work and photography live on their website https://wearefram.com/ and some of it below as well.
